Brooke O'Brien

Founder & Lead Trainer

Brooke grew up on a cattle farm in Mississippi and has always had a deep love for animals. Watching the cattle dog work and laying in the yard with the labradors is where it all began. During her time in college getting an education degree, she got her first pet dog, Luke. Luke had Canine Mega-Esophagus, so life with this new puppy was hard enough but was even more difficult with him being untrained. He couldn't have food rewards due to his condition, so as a 20 year old college student, she dove into studying dog training and behavior. Soon after adopting this dog, she became the owner of an aggressive Australian Cattle Dog.his was something she knew she needed additional help on. She then started taking classes with a local trainer that ended up becoming her first mentor! This is when she got her first experience doing behavior modification and management.

Once she felt confident in training and rehabilitating dogs, she began fostering for the Oktibbeha County Humane Society. Training and socializing these dogs was what she looked forward to every day.

After graduating with a degree in Music Education, she realized that teaching in a public school setting wasn’t her purpose. Brooke, Jake, and the dogs moved to the Nashville area to both pursue their new dreams. Brooke flew to California to learn from several dog trainers on what to do and more importantly, what NOT to do. Hands on experience and continued education are both far more important than the generic dog training certifications you can easily get online. She trained for free for several months to gain confidence and clientele in the area.

Her passion for dogs and educating owners truly shows in her work. Brooke continues to further her education by studying under and getting real dog training experience with the top dog trainers in the world. Her and her dog Logan have been through Therapy Dog courses, and therapy work is something she plans to pursue with him in the near future. She is also a member of the International Association of Pet Professionals and is very active in AKC sports with her tollers including AKC Obedience, Agility, Hunt Tests, Dock Diving, and more! In addition, her dogs have also been featured on several commercials and music videos in Nashville!
