January AKC Canine Good Citizen Course

50% off for previously trained clients! Want to improve your dog's intelligence, behavior, and confidence, all while working towards the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Certification? In this 4 week course, you and your dog will spend time each week working on obedience foundations, accomplishing specific tasks and challenges, and prepping for the CGC test at the end of the course. Dogs should be 6+ months old with a learning and working disposition. Sessions will take place every Saturday in November, with the Saturday after Thanksgiving (the 26th) off. The final session, and testing, will take place on December 3rd. CGC Test Tasks Include: 1.) Accepting a Friendly Stranger 2.) Sitting Politely for Petting 3.) Appearance and Grooming 4.) Out for a Walk (Walking on a Loose Lead) 5.) Walking Through a Crowd 6.) Sit and Down on Cue and Stay in Place 7.) Coming When Called 8.) Reaction to Another Dog 9.) Reaction to Distraction 10.) Supervised Separation All courses require at least 3 participants to be registered by the first meeting date for the course to be given. If at the time of the first session, less than three participants are registered, the course will be cancelled and a refund will be given to those who have registered.
